Group receives nearly $200k for virtual fencing project

Friends of Río Grande del Norte National Monument will work with the Bureau of Land Management, Alianza Agricultura de Taos, Working Lands Conservation and local ranchers to begin using virtual fencing on the Rio Grande del Norte National Monument. The technology can lower the burden of managing cattle in remote areas while protecting riparian areas, wildlife corridors and cultural sites.

Doing more with less water

The Ecdysis Foundation works with Alianza Agri-Cultura to bring Project Avalanche to Northern New Mexico. Farmers and ranchers are trained to collect data on their regenerative operations indicating levels of soil health, biodiversity and plant nutrient density.
