Ranchers across the Southwest are already figuring out how to heal land, grow better forage, and raise better livestock, building stronger operations and better lives along the way. That knowledge comes from lifetimes and generations spent observing and stewarding the land, and from constantly refining what works for forage, soil, water, and ecosystem function.
Scientists, agency representatives, advocates, and others involved in land management are welcome to join our events — but this is grassroots, peer-to-peer, rancher-driven learning, and the folks caring for the land every day will be leading the conversation.
Join Rancher-to-Rancher at Moon Horse Ranch (just south of Santa Fe) for a full-day of learning with other land stewards. Throughout the day, participants will be guided by the core principles of soil health and ecosystem function, the wisdom and experience of participants, firsthand observations and experiments using most of our senses and simple equipment. This event will be facilitated by Gillian Joyce, ED, Alianza Agri-Cultura de Taos.
Lunch will be provided.
Rancher to Rancher SW is a partnership between the Southwest Grassfed Livestock Alliance (SWGLA) and Alianza Agri-Cultura de Taos, funded by the #NoRegrets Initiative — working alongside the Soil Carbon Coalition's California Rancher to Rancher program.
This event is at capacity. Please stay tuned to our events page for future Rancher to Rancher events in 2027!
